About

Vincent was the Sports Massage Instructor at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing in Culver City, California, for over 10 years. There he developed and taught focused treatments for overuse injuries, acute injuries as well as injury prevention techniques.

Teaching for him is the flip side of remaining a perpetual student, continually studying to better help his clients reach maximum wellness. Most recently, Vincent participated in a ten-day workshop, Two Approaches to Neck Pain; Anatomy Trains and Orthopedic Massage taught by master practitioners Tom Myers (Anatomy Trains) and Ben Benjamin (Orthopedic Massage). He came back from the experience even more committed to the premise that healing arts, and especially massage, are a balance of equal parts scientific knowledge and intuition.

Influences

Vincent has been deeply influenced by the Deep Tissue work of Val Guin, who was instrumental in his decision to attend the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing. His knowledge and work have also been informed by the pioneering work of Tom Myers and Ben Benjamin.

Certified through the California Massage Therapy Council, Vincent Carbaugh has practiced healing professionally since 1995. He approaches his massage therapy treatments as a way of facilitating natural healing within his clients.  Vincent utilizes many modalities of Deep Tissue and Sports Massage.
